Title: A Mastermind Was Once a Protagonist

Created by: GhostDragon

Tragedy Set: Basic Tragedy

Difficulty: average

Description: "It's not fair that only protagonists can use goodwill abilities!" Said the mastermind, "I was once a protagonist before I became the mastermind, and these protagonists are getting better and better!" "If you say so," said the script creater, "I will fulfill your need." P.S: The script still needs more playtesting. If there are any suggestions, please feel free to comment.

Main Plot: Sign with me!

Subplot 1: Circle of Friends

Subplot 2:

Number of Loops: 3 (hard) or 4 (average)

Days per Loop: 5

Hints for Mastermind:
In the first loop, you want to hide the fact that there is a time traveler in this plot. It does not seem obvious to the protagonists as there is no "Butterfly Effect" Incident. Try to bluff for another win condition. If the protagonists has not figured out that there is a time traveler, then there is no need to trigger any incidents. It is highly recommended to place intrigues on the Journalist or Alien, as their abilities are useful for your gameplan. Once the protagonist has figured out who the time traveler is. There are two routes you can take: either remove the goodwill tokens with the spreading incident, or placing intrigues on the Alien/Journalist to trigger their abilities. If you successfully managed to put two intrigues on the journalist, then the journalist basically becomes a combination of conspiracy theorist and brain, which is extremely helpful. If you successfully managed to build up Alien's goodwill, then you can use her ability to kill a friend; however, be careful as the protagonists might revive the character you killed.

Victory Conditions for Mastermind:
1. Having two or less goodwill tokens on the time traveler (Mystery Boy). 2. Using Alien's goodwill ability to kill a friend (Boy Student or Patient). 3. Putting two intrigues on the key person (Alien). 4. Using the Suicide Incident to kill a friend (Boy Student).

Special Rule:
1. The mastermind can use any goodwill ability he likes as long as there are enough goodwill counters on that character. If the good ability he used can only be used once per loop, then the mastermind cannot use it again. The protagonists, however, can still use that ability. 2. Intrigue tokens on characters can be seen as goodwill tokens for the mastermind, but not the protagonists.

First of all, you need to tell the protagonists that there is only 1 subplot as another special rule. This is also almost impossible for the protagonists. I just play intrigue +2 and intrigue +1 on the Alien and Journalist and if they don't forbid intrigue on the +2 then it's basically impossible because I either get the sign with me victory or I can force the boy student suicide. Maybe the mastermind should remove intrigue +2 from their hand? Or maybe sign with me isn't the greatest plot with this special rule? You could have giant time bomb instead and then the journalist has to get to the right location to drop intrigue

Yeah, I made a lot of variations and changes after I posted this. I removed the intrigue token count as goodwill rule, and this seems to be working okay.
